Medical Technology Association of New Zealand selects Fuse as a finalist in the 2015 Innovation Awards

We are honoured and excited to have Fuse selected as a finalist in the MTANZ Innovation Awards for 2015.

These awards recognize innovative new products which assist with the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and management of disease.

Below is a summary of Fuse that was submitted as part of the competition:

New Zealand’s most common cancer is bowel cancer. The Minister of Health (Dr Coleman) has recently extended the bowel cancer screening pilot program and a major innovation is now available to help tackle this problem. FUSE Full Spectrum Endoscopy is a specialty bowel screening scope that integrates three miniature cameras into the endoscope tip, allowing doctors to see nearly twice as much anatomy compared to traditional endoscopes that only use one camera. This increases the gastroenterologist’s adenoma detection rate by 69%. This innovation is exciting because more than 95% of colorectal cancers develop from adenomas.

The winner will be announced at the MTANZ annual healthcare congress dinner on Tuesday the 16th of June and we’re sure you’ll join us in crossing our fingers for Fuse!
