National Science Week 2011

August 13th-21st is National Science Week and there are activities happening all over the country to celebrate the discovery of science.

A series of prominent personalities from the science field will be travelling the country giving presentations to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for science:

• Professor Michael Cowley - Award winning physiologist tackling some of Australia's greatest medical challenges
• Doctor Fiona Wood - Groundbreaking medical researcher and Australian of the Year
• Doctor Catrin Goebel - Chemist working on keeping elite sporting competition clean
• Hanson Robotics - Doctor David Hanson leads an innovative start-up company bringing robots to life
